The drama depicts the trial of the 1979 presidential assassination case. It focuses on Park Tae-joo, whose life and death are decided by a single verdict, and lawyer Jung In-hoo, who struggles to save him.

The former is portrayed by Lee Seon-gyun. He plays a righteous soldier caught up in an event that shook modern Korean history. The latter is played by Jo Jung-suk, who has shown remarkable growth through films like "The Face Reader" and "Exit," as well as the drama "Hospital Playlist." He depicts a lawyer who believes that in court, there is only winning or losing, not justice. Another key character, Jeon Sang-doo, is portrayed by Yoo Jae-myung, known for his powerful performances in films such as "Voice of Silence" and "Kingmaker."

The film is directed by Choo Chang-min, who attracted over 10 million viewers with "Masquerade." The production was jointly carried out by Papas Film and Oscar10 Studio.
