On the 8th, a post titled "The police even came because of the fat" was uploaded on an online community. As of 8 a.m. on the 10th, the post had garnered 176,000 views and 2,800 recommendations, becoming a major topic of discussion. Mr. A, who lives in the northern region and sent money to his parents as a gift for Parents' Day, began by saying, "My parents visited a meat restaurant in Suyeong-gu, Busan, to have a meal with the money I sent."

Mr. A explained the situation, saying, "My father casually placed the meat on the grill, but after noticing it had a lot of fat, he took it off and called an employee." The employee initially said, "We don't replace meat once it's on the grill," but later brought new meat. Looking at the pork belly photo Mr. A shared, it shows very little lean meat and a lot of white fat, similar to the recent 'fatty pork belly' controversy. The fat appears to make up about 80-90% of the meat.

However, the fat that the employee had just removed unexpectedly reappeared on the table where Mr. A's parents were dining. The owner, Mr. B, shouted, "Pay for everything and leave," demanding payment even for the pork belly with excessive fat. Mr. A said, "The employee apologized and admitted there was too much fat, but the owner said it wasn't the employee's fault and called the police." He added, "If they weren't going to replace it, they shouldn't have done so in the first place. Without any explanation, they embarrassed my father in a crowded place, which made him angry and raised his voice."

When the police arrived at the restaurant, Mr. B claimed that Mr. A's mother had insulted him. Mr. A's parents requested to check the store's closed-circuit television (CCTV), but Mr. B refused, saying, "The audio is not recorded." Mr. A lamented, "I tried to show filial piety on Parents' Day, but it turned into a disaster. With dining out costs rising and the pork belly fat controversy ongoing, my parents were trembling as they called me. I am very upset and bitter."

Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as, "I guess I shouldn't go out to eat pork belly anymore," "I don't know when pork belly started coming out with just chunks of fat," "The owner's response is problematic," "It's been a while since the fat controversy started, but there are still places like this," and "Maybe fatty pork belly is trending these days."

Meanwhile, following the recent 'fatty pork belly' controversy at a famous meat restaurant in Jeju Island, reports of "I also received fatty pork belly" have rapidly spread nationwide, including Daegu. In response, Seogwipo City in Jeju conducted on-site inspections targeting several of about 70 pork specialty restaurants around tourist areas. Jeju Governor Oh Young-hoon bowed his head and said, "The hygiene-related departments have the authority to guide and manage restaurants, so we are considering strengthening internal promotion to prevent such issues." He added, "We are currently reviewing the need to strengthen supervision and guidance in the livestock sector internally."
