Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that the Residential Maintenance Academy will be held at the district office auditorium from May 27 to 31, organized by the Residential Maintenance Support Center.
The Residential Maintenance Academy was established to prevent disputes and conflicts that may arise during the process of promoting maintenance projects, ensuring smooth and prompt project implementation.
The district is actively participating in government and Seoul city maintenance project contests, leading to active maintenance projects throughout the area. In 2021, the first phase of the Rapid Integrated Planning and the first phase of Moa Town were selected; in 2022, the second phase of Rapid Integrated Planning, Public Redevelopment, and the second phase of Moa Town were selected; and in January this year, two sites were selected for the third phase of Rapid Integrated Planning. Including street housing maintenance projects, a total of 44 sites are currently undergoing maintenance projects.
At the Residential Maintenance Academy, experts in various fields will lecture on necessary topics for project promotion, such as explanations of the Urban Maintenance Act, targeting redevelopment and reconstruction association members, resident participation groups, and residents interested in maintenance projects.
The training will be conducted for two hours each day from 2 PM to 4 PM over five days. On the 27th, the topic will be "Understanding Rapid Integrated Planning"; on the 28th, "Explanation of the Urban Maintenance Act and Cases of Project Promotion Conflicts"; on the 29th, "Basic Understanding and Terminology of Maintenance Projects"; on the 30th, "Understanding Appraisal in Maintenance Projects"; and on the 31st, "Association Management and Moa Town."
Approximately 100 participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Any resident (including those living in the area) interested in redevelopment and reconstruction projects such as Rapid Integrated Planning, Moa Town, street housing maintenance projects, and public redevelopment can apply. Applications can be submitted by visiting the district office Residential Maintenance Division, calling for inquiries, or applying via email by May 17.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "I hope many residents will enhance their understanding of maintenance projects through the Residential Maintenance Academy, leading to swift and smooth project promotion," and added, "We will continue to actively provide necessary education for redevelopment and reconstruction projects through the Residential Maintenance Support Center."
