Eunpyeong Cheongyeoul Swimming Pool, Monthly Water Playground
Online Application from 10 AM on the 25th of Every Month
Seoul Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 10th that the district-run Eunpyeong Cheongyeoul Swimming Pool will operate the "Sunday Water Playground" on the second Sunday of every month starting this month. This swimming pool opened in June last year and is operated under consignment by the Eunpyeong-gu Sports Council.
The "Sunday Water Playground" is a program that sets up water play equipment and operates as a water playground on the second Sunday of every month. It is divided into two sessions, the first and second, each lasting 3 hours in the morning and afternoon. To prevent safety accidents and maintain clean water quality, the number of entrants at the same time is limited to 30 people, and safety management personnel with water safety certification are assigned.
Children under 9 years old must enter accompanied by a guardian, and users under 150cm in height are pre-informed to wear personal life jackets as part of safety measures.
Applications are accepted through online advance reservations on the "Eunpyeong Cheongyeoul Swimming Pool Naver Place" from 10 a.m. on the 25th of every month until the recruitment quota is filled. The admission fees are 7,500 KRW for adults, 6,000 KRW for youth, and 4,000 KRW for children, with a maximum purchase of 5 tickets per person. The Sunday Water Playground for this month was fully booked early, and applications for next month can be made starting from the 25th of this month.
Eunpyeong-gu operates facilities on Sundays to expand the usage hours of public sports facilities. The district-run Eunpyeong Cheongyeoul Swimming Pool and Eunpyeong Tongillo Sports Center open free swimming and Sunday Water Playground every Sunday, and the Eunpyeong-gu Citizen Sports Center operates free swimming on the second Sunday of every month.
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, "The opening of the Sunday Water Playground is expected to satisfy the thirst for enjoyable activities not only by expanding the usage hours of public sports facilities but also for individuals and families in the district," adding, "We will do our best to ensure safety and hygiene management so that everyone can create joyful and happy memories at the Sunday Water Playground."
