Netmarble announced on the 9th that it will sell 1.1 million shares (approximately 2.6%) of Hive for 219.89 billion KRW.
Netmarble explained that the purpose of the disposal is to "secure liquidity through the sale of held shares."
As a result, Netmarble's stake in Hive will decrease from 12.08% to 9.44%.
On the same day, Netmarble entered into a Price Return Swap (PRS) contract based on Hive's closing price of 199,900 KRW per share.
Previously, in November last year, Netmarble also disposed of 2.5 million shares (approximately 6%) of Hive through an off-hours block trade, reducing its stake from 18.08% to 12.08%.
A Netmarble official stated, "By partially selling the held Hive shares, we plan to reduce the refinancing amount of acquisition financing and improve financial soundness," adding, "We are not considering any additional sales of the remaining shares."
