Lim Han-gyu, President of the Korean Society of Fisheries Science, stated, "This academic conference will be a starting point for transforming fisheries, which have been labor-intensive primary production and simple processing-centered, into a future industry producing blue food based on big data-driven intelligent production systems."

The Korean Society of Fisheries Science, established in 1955, is an academic organization that has supported technological development in various fields for the advancement of Korea's fisheries industry. It has over 1,000 members participating from academia, industry, government agencies, and all sectors related to fisheries.
