Dongmyeong University College of Companion Animals, Free Giveaway on 'Gaerini Day'

Special Event at Dog Playground 'Dongsup'

Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) College of Companion Animals (Dean Kim Su-jin) held a special event for "Dog Children's Day" for pets at the university's dog playground, "Dongsup."

Following the health checkups and distribution of hygiene hand sanitizers for dogs by the Department of Companion Animal Health on the 3rd, on the 4th, the Department of Dog Grooming and Behavior Correction (Department Head Kwak Jin-sook) provided dog hygiene grooming, and the Department of Companion Animal Industry (Department Head Lim Eun-seo) offered free handmade dog treats, receiving great responses from pet families.

Additionally, the Job and Economy Division of Nam-gu Office in Busan, which participated in the event, conducted an animal protection and welfare promotion campaign to foster a mature pet culture by encouraging pet etiquette compliance amid the increase in pet-owning households, distributing portable pet waste bags and tissues.

"Dongsup," jointly created by Busan City, Nam-gu, and Dongmyung University, has been attracting much attention from citizens with pets, hosting citizen care education since April. The university plans to continuously operate various events and educational programs for pet families.

The College of Companion Animals at Dongmyung University is growing as a specialized university for companion animals, offering the Department of Companion Animal Health, the Department of Dog Grooming and Behavior Correction, and the Department of Companion Animal Industry (Pet Food and Companion Animal Industry Design majors).
