Park Chan-dae, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 9th, "In 2016, the opposition's four parties combined had only 170 seats, but when the impeachment vote against former President Park Geun-hye actually took place, 234 votes were in favor."
Park appeared on CBS Radio that day and stated, "How long do you think the People Power Party lawmakers will keep just watching the presidential office's mood?"
He added, "There are talks that the current president's approval rating is lower than that during former President Park Geun-hye's impeachment," emphasizing, "The presidential office must sober up and change the national policy direction."
In response to the host's question, "Does this mean (President Yoon Suk-yeol) could be impeached?" he replied, "It is worrisome. Some people talk a lot about impeachment, but impeachment seems to be done by politicians in the National Assembly, yet in fact, it is the sovereign people who judge and command."
He continued, "In the general election, the people gave the opposition 192 seats to judge the Yoon Suk-yeol administration," explaining, "There are only eight seats left until the constitutional amendment threshold, the number of seats to override a veto, and the number of seats to make even more severe political decisions." He also said, "(If the national policy direction does not change) the people's anger will boil up to a critical point."

Regarding the prosecution's investigation into suspicions involving First Lady Kim Keon-hee, Park said, "How can evidence be found without summoning or conducting a search and seizure?" He urged, "It is known that the prosecution conducted search and seizures 129 times related to suspicions about the use of corporate cards by the wife of Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung, so (the investigation into First Lady Kim) should be conducted fairly as well."
He continued, "Among the so-called 'Ichaeyangmyeongju' suspicions, investigations into the Itaewon disaster and the Chae Sang-byeong case are underway," emphasizing, "A sincere investigation is also needed into the suspicions regarding the Yangpyeong highway, First Lady Kim's receipt of luxury bags, and stock price manipulation."
Regarding People Power Party's newly elected member Kim Min-jeon's claim that special investigations should also be pursued into Lee's wife Kim Hye-kyung and former President Moon Jae-in's wife Kim Jung-sook, Park dismissed it as "a desperate tactic. A pathetic statement."
Regarding the 250,000 won livelihood recovery support fund for the people, he said, "If the government does not fulfill its role until the end, we will seriously consider pushing it forward even in the form of a special law," adding, "If the government does not fulfill its role until the end, we are deeply considering creating and promoting this through a special law."
