Gyeonggi Province is changing the title of the administrative chief equivalent to grade 2 to Political Chief and establishing a new Administrative Special Advisor.

On the 9th, Gyeonggi Province announced the 'Partial Amendment to the Enforcement Rules of the Gyeonggi Province Administrative Organization and Staffing Ordinance,' which changes the administrative chief directly under the governor to Political Chief.

The Political Chief is a grade 2 professional term position that assists in policy decisions regarding the planning and coordination of major provincial government policies.

Gyeonggi Province also established the Administrative Special Advisor to assist in policy decisions such as developing and coordinating the provincial government's vision and key tasks. The Administrative Special Advisor is a grade 4 professional term position.

Accordingly, the professional term positions directly under the governor have increased to six: ▲Policy Chief (grade 2) ▲Political Chief (grade 2) ▲Opportunity Gyeonggi Chief (grade 3) ▲Administrative Special Advisor (grade 4) ▲External Cooperation Advisor (grade 4) ▲International Cooperation Special Advisor (grade 4).

The Political Chief directly under the governor and the Political Chief (grade 2) directly under the Economic Vice Governor will be renamed Cooperation Chief. The Cooperation Chief will assist the Economic Vice Governor in policy decisions related to cooperation with the provincial council.
