Gyeongsangnam-do held the ‘Land Administration Seminar and Drone Cadastral Survey Competition’ over two days starting from the 7th at the Korean Seonbi Culture Research Institute in Sancheong-gun, with over 160 participants including public officials from 18 cities, counties, and districts in the province and cadastral survey practitioners.

This event was held in the order of research presentations for discovering excellent policies in the land administration field, special lectures, and the cadastral survey competition.
Representing Sacheon City, Kim Gi-yeol (Facility Grade 6), Park Kyung-su (Facility Grade 8), and Eom Ji-hee (Facility Grade 9) from the Land Management Division won the encouragement award in the cadastral survey competition, which featured 18 teams of 54 public officials from 18 cities and counties.
The cadastral survey competition is a contest that evaluates the surveying skills of cadastral survey performance inspection officials by using equipment such as total stations and electronic planimeters owned by cities and counties to quickly and accurately determine cadastral survey results.
Based on their experience in conducting cadastral survey performance inspections, they received high scores by verifying the consistency between boundaries surveyed with the total station and map boundaries, and accurately calculating the coordinates of fixed points.
Bang Tae-seop, head of Sacheon City’s Land Management Division, said, “Cadastral surveying is an important task to protect citizens’ property rights and prevent land boundary disputes. We are very pleased to have our outstanding abilities recognized, and we will continue to cultivate our cadastral surveying capabilities.”
Meanwhile, Gyeongsangnam-do had previously held the land administration seminar and cadastral survey competition separately, but this year they were held simultaneously to create a synergy effect between the land administration and cadastral survey fields.
