Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) has selected five companies from the Pangyo 1st and 2nd Techno Valley tenants to expand into overseas markets.
On the 9th, GH announced that it had chosen five companies as ‘GH Basecamp’ players: Mangoslab in the AI deep tech field, Celtasquare and Exosystems in the AI biohealth sector, and JL Standard and Fliption Korea in the AI field.
GH Basecamp is a program by GH that supports companies in Pangyo wishing to enter overseas markets, specifically facilitating their entry into Silicon Valley, USA. Selected companies receive support including airfare, accommodation, transportation, and local programs.
GH, together with the global educational institution and accelerator ‘Team of Wakers,’ will provide one-on-one preliminary capability assessments, mentoring, and global expansion strategy development throughout May. From June 2nd, a two-week program in Silicon Valley will offer opportunities such as meetings with local Korean entrepreneurs and company introduction presentations (IR pitching).
Notably, from June 11th to 13th, the startups will participate in the ‘Plug&Play 2024 Summer Summit,’ a startup accelerating event, where they will engage in IR pitching to attract global investors.
Kim Seyong, President of GH, stated, "I hope that the startups selected for GH Basecamp will grow into influential companies in overseas markets and further create synergy by growing together with companies in Pangyo."
