As of 9:20 AM on the 9th, LB Investment is trading at 7,210 KRW on the KOSDAQ market, up 1,660 KRW (29.91%) from the previous day.
This surge is due to growing expectations following news of a joint investment with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
LB Investment is a first-generation venture capital firm in South Korea.
It was launched in 1996 as LG Startup Investment and became independent from LG Group in 2000, separating from the affiliate.
In 2008, it was renamed to its current name, LB Investment.
The company focuses on investing in early-stage startups through the formation of venture investment associations and managing private equity funds (PEFs).
It operates 11 venture investment associations and one private investment partnership company, with a total committed capital of 1.243 trillion KRW across 12 funds.
