KB Asset Management's ‘KB On-Gukmin·Dynamic TDF’ series is gaining attention in the retirement pension market due to steady capital inflows.
On the 9th, KB Asset Management announced that more than 150 billion KRW has flowed into the ‘KB On-Gukmin·Dynamic TDF’ series so far this year. Thanks to this, KB Asset Management's TDF market share rose by 0.5 percentage points from 12.5% at the end of last year to 13.0% as of the 7th. This is significant as it is the only one among the top five asset management companies in the TDF industry to have increased its market share since the beginning of the year.
This continuous capital inflow is attributed to excellent performance in a volatile market. Among the ‘KB On-Gukmin TDF’ series, the ‘KB On-Gukmin TDF 2055(UH)’, which has the highest equity ratio, posted 1-, 2-, and 3-year returns of 20.35%, 27.68%, and 31.20%, respectively. It ranks first among products of the same vintage in the industry.
Additionally, the ‘KB Dynamic TDF’ also boasts stable performance, with all vintages (2020~2055) of the ‘KB On-Gukmin·Dynamic TDF’ series achieving 1-year returns of over 8% (8.30~20.35%).
Currently, KB Asset Management operates two types of TDF products, ‘KB On-Gukmin TDF’ and ‘KB Dynamic TDF’, considering customers' investment preferences.
‘KB On-Gukmin TDF’ is a passive fund. It has low fees and low volatility, allowing for high compound interest effects over long-term investments. ‘KB Dynamic TDF’ is an active fund that actively responds to market volatility by investing in various assets such as real estate and commodities to swiftly adapt to changing conditions.
‘KB On-Gukmin TDF’ maintains solid performance even in volatile markets by holding a high proportion of growth stocks. In the case of ‘KB Dynamic TDF’, it efficiently responds to stock market declines by lowering the hedging ratio during strong dollar periods and actively reallocating assets.
Cha Hyun-woo, Director of the Pension WM Division at KB Asset Management, explained, “Considering the gradually improving global market conditions, TDF, an asset allocation product that diversifies investments between stocks and bonds, can be an efficient means of pension investment.”
In addition to the ‘KB On-Gukmin·Dynamic TDF series’, KB Asset Management offers a diverse lineup of pension funds, including the ‘KB Lifetime Pension Balance Fund’, suitable for low-risk portfolio inclusion, and the ‘KB Dream Star Asset Allocation Stable Fund’, which incorporates advisory firm expertise.
