The military band concert was performed by 18 members of the Naval Education Command's military band combo band and traditional Korean music band.
They showcased about 15 songs favored by the seniors, including a Samulnori performance and songs like "Jinttobaegi" and "Makgeolli Hanjan," on stage for about an hour.
Towards the end of the performance, all performers played "Eomeoniui Maeum" and "Eomeonim Eunhye," adding special meaning to the Parents' Day commemorative concert.
During the performance, naval-related quiz questions were presented, and naval souvenirs were awarded to those who answered correctly. A singing contest for seniors was also held, transforming the event from a "participation-only event" to an "engaging event."

Jung Eung-seok, the director of the welfare center, said, "Thanks to the naval soldiers, our seniors enjoyed the performance with joy as if they were meeting their grandchildren," and added, "We are truly grateful that they came all the way from afar to present a special performance just for the seniors."
Private Nam Seung-min said, "Although I couldn't visit my parents on Parents' Day, I played with feelings of longing and gratitude, thinking of my grandfather, grandmother, and parents in my hometown," and added, "It was a rewarding time to be able to convey happiness to the audience."
Captain (Jin) Kim Ji-woong, commander of the Education Command military band, said, "I hope today's performance, prepared to strengthen ties with the local community and repay the love of local residents, became an unforgettable special gift for the seniors," and added, "As much as we are loved by the local community, we will continue to be a navy that coexists with the people through various performance activities."
