Two Dead and Injured in Gangnam Apartment Stabbing... Arrest Warrant Issued for Man in His 80s

The police have requested an arrest warrant for an man in his 80s who wielded a weapon in an apartment in Seoul, causing two casualties.

The Suseo Police Station in Seoul announced that they have applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A, a man in his 80s, on charges including murder.

Mr. A is accused of wielding a weapon at a woman in her 50s, Ms. B, and her son, Mr. C, at an apartment in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu, around 8 a.m. the previous day.

Ms. B was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but ultimately passed away. Mr. C was also taken to the hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.

Mr. A surrendered himself to a nearby police substation immediately after the incident, and the police arrested him on the spot.

It is reported that Mr. A claimed to have had ongoing financial disputes with Ms. B.
