'Protecting Single Women Households and Stores'... Namdong-gu, Incheon Supports Crime Prevention System

Namdong-gu, Incheon announced on the 8th that it will support a crime prevention system to protect women living alone and single-woman-run stores that are vulnerable to security threats.

First, for women living alone, a service will be provided to install CCTV at the front door, allowing real-time monitoring of the situation at the door through a mobile app. Additionally, they can use the emergency dispatch service of a security company free of charge for one year.

For single-woman-run stores, an emergency bell will be installed so that the police can respond urgently 24 hours a day in case of an emergency.

The support targets 40 women living alone and 40 single-woman-run stores residing in Namdong-gu. For households, the target is women living alone in rented or leased homes, and for stores, the target is single-woman-run stores with a business registration under a female representative, with a remaining lease period of at least one year.

Priority support will be given to victims of crime and violence and low-income households. Applications are open until the 31st of this month and may close early if the budget is exhausted.

Park Jong-hyo, Mayor of Namdong-gu, said, "We will continue to actively promote policies to protect the lives and safety of residents who are relatively vulnerable to crime, such as women living alone."
