Budget Increased by 26.7 Billion KRW from Initial Estimate

Focus on Projects That Residents Feel and Agree With

Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 8th that it has prepared the 2024 first supplementary budget (hereinafter referred to as the supplementary budget) of 659.8 billion KRW and submitted it to the Sancheong-gun Council.

The scale of the supplementary budget is 659.8 billion KRW, an increase of 26.7 billion KRW from the original budget (633.1 billion KRW), consisting of 612.8 billion KRW in the general account and 47.0 billion KRW in the special account.

This supplementary budget mainly reflects various requests from residents collected during town and township visits and the smooth promotion of regional priority projects.

In particular, it includes a budget that residents can feel and empathize with, such as 53 resident wish projects including the Naesu Village stream maintenance project, shingles vaccination, the 2025 Sancheong Visit Year, and support for special activity expenses for grandchildren in grandparent-headed families.

The main contents include ▲support for haircuts for children of multicultural families ▲village-level LPG small storage tank distribution project ▲maintenance project for village water supply in towns and townships ▲Anseong water supply area local water supply connection construction ▲agricultural income increase projects ▲housing repair support for returnees to farming and rural areas ▲support for young successor farmers’ farming settlement, etc.

Lee Seung-hwa, the county governor, said, “This supplementary budget was prepared with the goal of promoting the resolution of pending issues to improve the convenience of residents, responding to the demands for new changes in the 8th elected term, and improving the quality of life of residents. We will continue to actively reflect residents’ opinions in the budget to make Sancheong a happy place for all residents.”

Meanwhile, this supplementary budget will be submitted to the 297th Sancheong-gun Council extraordinary session held from the 8th to the 17th for review and resolution before final approval.
