Shilla Duty Free, Exclusive Domestic Sale of Suntory Whiskey Limited Edition Collection

Two Types of Duty-Free Exclusive 'Kogei Collection'
Tasting Event Also Held at Incheon Airport Store

Shilla Duty Free, operated by Hotel Shilla, announced on the 8th that it will exclusively introduce two limited edition products from Japanese whiskey manufacturer Suntory in Korea.

The products are from Suntory's Kogei Collection, namely 'Yamazaki Peated Malt Spanish Oak' and 'Hakushu Peated Malt Spanish Oak,' and will be available from today at the Incheon Airport store and online store.

The Kogei Collection is Suntory's first duty-free exclusive product, initially launched last month at Singapore Changi Airport. As the name "Kogei," meaning Japanese craftsmanship, suggests, it features new package designs every two years through partnerships with artisans from various fields.

The products being sold this time are the "Kimono Edition," created in collaboration with Chiso, Japan's top kimono house. Chiso's kimono designers used traditional kimono dyeing methods to create package designs depicting the scenery near the distilleries where the whiskey is produced.

Among the two Kogei Collection products, the 'Yamazaki Peated Malt Spanish Oak' has an alcohol content of 43% and features aromas of mocha, raisins, and almonds. The 'Hakushu Peated Malt Spanish Oak' also has an alcohol content of 43%, characterized by floral notes of orange marmalade and the scent of dark chocolate.

Meanwhile, to commemorate the exclusive listing of the Kogei Collection, Shilla Duty Free plans to hold a tasting event of Suntory's popular whiskey, "World Whisky Ao," for customers visiting the Suntory store at the Incheon Airport location.
