Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced on the 7th that Bokseong Industrial Development (Chairman Park Geum-tae) and the Geumcheon Buddhist Temple Association donated 300 bags of 10kg rice (worth approximately 9 million KRW) to low-income families in the area.
Established in 2010, Bokseong Industrial Development is a mid-sized company specializing in civil engineering and housing construction. Beyond its core business, the company actively fulfills its corporate social responsibility through various domestic and international volunteer activities. Chairman Park Geum-tae, the founder, embraces the philosophy of "sharing" as his management principle and has consistently practiced sharing and volunteering for neighbors in need every year for 14 years since the company's inception.
This donation was prepared to share neighborly warmth with vulnerable groups such as free meal centers and senior citizen centers, who are experiencing even more difficult times due to the economic downturn.
The delivery ceremony was held at the district office plaza with about ten attendees, including Hoapsa Temple Chief Monk Hyunmin, Bulyoungam Temple Chief Monk Deokyu, and Bokseong Industrial Development Chairman Park Geum-tae. On this day, Mayor Yu Seong-hoon presented a plaque of appreciation to Chairman Park Geum-tae.
Chairman Park Geum-tae said, "I hope this sponsorship will be of some help to the vulnerable groups in our community," and added, "We will continue our donation activities to create a world where we live together."
Last year, Bokseong Industrial Development also donated goods worth approximately 16.45 million KRW to Geumcheon-gu, including 300 bags of 10kg rice and 250 boxes of 3kg grapes.
