Parking in Passageway for Vehicles
Notice Asks for "Understanding"
A vehicle owner parked in a parking lot passageway and even left a note asking for 'understanding,' causing inconvenience to residents, has become a hot topic.
On the 6th, an online community 'BobaeDream' posted an article titled 'Our Apartment Parking Villain.' The author, Mr. A, uploaded a photo of a parked black passenger car and pointed out, "They parked like that in the passage where cars pass." He added, "Because of that car, other cars cannot pass at all."
According to Mr. A, the apartment is old, with insufficient parking space, and the vehicle entry direction is fixed in one way. However, due to the problematic vehicle parked along the narrow passage wall, other vehicles could not move.
Mr. A found a note on the car's front windshield. The note read, "Please understand. After night shifts, I arrive at dawn with nowhere to park, and due to the nature of my vehicle, neutral parking is impossible, so I had no choice but to park here." It continued, "I am sleeping in the morning and cannot answer calls, but around 12 o'clock, I can move the car."
After reading the note, Mr. A criticized, "What am I supposed to do with this?" and said, "Is it that I want to be comfortable even if others are inconvenienced?" Netizens who saw the story responded with various comments such as, "Then change to a car that can park in neutral," "You shouldn't cause trouble to others. Do you not think about the residents who suffer because of you while asking for understanding?" "Block them the same way so they can't go to night shifts," and "It's selfish."
Meanwhile, this is not the first case of residents experiencing inconvenience due to parking issues. In particular, there have been cases where people received prison sentences for illegal parking. In June last year, a man in his 40s who intentionally illegally parked for a week at the entrance of an underground parking lot of a commercial building in Nonhyeon-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, obstructing other vehicles' passage, was sentenced to one year in prison.
