At the opening ceremony held on the 4th, a ‘Hope Tree Performance’ was conducted, where watering a tree caused flowers to bloom, symbolizing the future generation’s wish for a sustainable environment. The event was graced by the presence of Jeon Byeong-geuk, 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do; Park Ji-won, elected member of the National Assembly; Myung Hyun-gwan, Mayor of Haenam-gun; and executives of Boseong Group including CEO Lee Byung-chul.

The second phase site (110,000 pyeong), which will include a glamping site, children’s golf course, tropical greenhouse, and winery garden, is scheduled to open in May next year. Once the entire site is open, Sani Garden is expected to become the second largest botanical garden among 13 nationwide and establish itself as a representative tourist destination in Jeonnam.
At the opening ceremony, the ‘Children’s Spring Picnic ? National Children’s Drawing Contest,’ jointly hosted with Jeonnam Provincial Office and Haenam County Office, was also held. About 280 children from across the country participated. The award-winning works will be exhibited at the Garden Museum.
