The identity of the assailant has not yet been revealed, and the police are analyzing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify the suspect. They have also informed neighboring police stations, are tracking the suspect’s movements, and have deployed officers at key locations to pursue the suspect’s whereabouts. Additionally, the police are investigating the exact amount stolen and how the suspect managed to open the ATM device.

A police official stated, "So far, we believe the suspect acted alone, but considering the boldness of the crime, we are not ruling out the possibility of accomplices. We will swiftly identify and apprehend the suspect."

A Nonghyup official told Yonhap News, "Even with the master key, the ATM lock cannot be opened without verification calls and other procedures. Given that all these were bypassed to steal the cash, it appears to be the work of someone familiar with the industry."
