Girl group NewJeans' new song "Bubble Gum" music video has topped various weekly charts on YouTube.

According to their agency ADOR on the 6th, the "Bubble Gum" music video ranked first in Korea's weekly popular music video and popular song categories. It also placed 2nd and 5th respectively on YouTube's global weekly popular music video and popular song charts. Despite conflicts between their parent company HYBE and agency ADOR, NewJeans continues their music activities without wavering.

"Bubble Gum" is a track from their upcoming double single "How Sweet," set to be released on the 24th. NewJeans took a bold step by pre-releasing only the music video before the official audio release. Unlike typical K-pop groups focusing on performance, the "Bubble Gum" music video emphasizes lyrical visuals and natural storytelling.

In particular, props such as camcorders, VHS tapes, bubble gum, old fans, and marbles that evoke childhood memories were praised for creating a retro yet sophisticated and unique texture.

"Bubble Gum" features flute sounds and synthesizer tones to create a refreshing atmosphere, complemented by the members' clear vocal tones, making it easy to listen to.

NewJeans will release different double singles in Korea and Japan on the 24th and the 21st of next month, respectively. They will also hold a large-scale fan meeting at Tokyo Dome on the 26th and 27th of next month.
