Hyundai Department Store announced on the 6th that it will hold a themed event called "Prague, Dreaming of Romance" at the Trade Center branch until the 16th of next month, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Korea and the Czech Tourism Authority. This event features an exotic space filled with content related to major tourist attractions and local culture and arts, allowing visitors to experience the unique atmosphere of the Czech Republic, known as a romantic travel destination.
First, the 11th-floor Sky Garden at the Trade Center branch will be transformed into a rooftop caf? and resting area that recreates the panorama of Prague, Czech Republic, one of Europe's three major night views. Designed with concepts such as the vermilion roofs reminiscent of a medieval small town and a fairy-tale-like puppet theater, it aims to provide an experience as if visitors have traveled to Prague.
Various programs to enjoy Czech music and literature will also be offered. On the 12th, a Czech classical music concert themed "Prague Spring Music Festival" will be held with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and on the 5th, 6th, and 18th, jazz and film music performances by European bands will take place. Minum Publishing will participate to create an open library in the Sky Garden where visitors can see masterpieces by representative Czech authors and a collection of world literature all in one place.
Additionally, during the event period, the 10th-floor Culture Hall will showcase famous print works by Alfons Mucha, the national painter of the Czech Republic, including "Daydream" and "The Zodiac." On the 11th floor at Gallery H, a special exhibition of Jan Kal?b, a Czech contemporary artist known for expressing geometric abstract worlds with vivid colors and streamlined forms, will be held.
Furthermore, from the 17th to the 23rd, the basement first-floor food hall will be transformed into "Havel Market," a representative spot for Czech street food. Visitors can experience a variety of Czech foods, including traditional Czech beers such as Pilsner Urquell and Kozel dark beer, as well as Moravian wine, a representative wine-producing region of the Czech Republic.
