What is 'Color Race'?… LetsRun Park Busan Gyeongnam Increases Shuttle Buses Due to Surge in Reservations

Exploding Interest in Unique Marathons Among the 2030 Generation

LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam has decided to increase the number of free shuttle buses on the day of the event due to a surge in reservations for participation in the ‘2024 Color Race’ to be held on the 25th.

The Color Race is a unique marathon where participants wear white T-shirts and run about 3.5 km while being covered with color powder in five color zones. Now in its fourth year, this event is gaining attention as a cultural event for the younger generation focused on fun experiences and sharing, rather than competition and records. So far, about 2,000 people have made reservations.

The shuttle buses operate on four routes, available from Gimhae, Daejeo, Jurye, and Hadan. On the day of the event, the shuttle buses start running at 1 PM and will increase to a maximum of 15 trips (based on Jurye route). After the event ends, buses will run between 8 and 9 PM.

Participants in the Color Race can enjoy a special experience running along the horse-themed course connecting LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam’s Eco Land, Derby Land, Victor Village, and Equestrian Land. During the race, they can throw and be covered with colorful powders made from corn starch, relieving stress and capturing special commemorative photos.

Additionally, various events are prepared. Participants can enjoy event booths set up throughout the venue, and after the run, a famous DJ will host an EDM dance party, followed by a performance by the duo singer Norazo, adding excitement to the after-party.

Applications for participation are available until May 12 on the official Color Race website.
