Singer Lim Young-woong's commercial video for Jeonggwanjang surpassed 10 million views just 10 days after its release. This means that one in five Koreans has watched it.
Previously, Lim Young-woong made headlines by requesting Jeonggwanjang to provide bromides to all customers regardless of purchase amount, so that fans would not feel any discomfort.
KGC Ginseng Corporation announced on the 5th that the commercial video featuring their new Jeonggwanjang model Lim Young-woong, released at 8 a.m. on the 24th of last month, had exceeded 10 million views as of the morning of the 4th.
The video received 6,000 comments, including messages supporting Lim Young-woong and sharing how they maintain their health with Jeonggwanjang. KGC also reported that two videos from the “Healthy and Happy” series, released as YouTube Shorts, have become a big hit. Analysis of the commercial’s viewers showed that women aged 55 to 64 accounted for the highest proportion at 38.5%.
Interestingly, KGC noted that men aged 35 to 44 followed closely behind with a 24.6% share.
KGC stated that Lim Young-woong’s popularity is continuing into Jeonggwanjang’s Family Month promotion. From the promotion’s start on the 24th of last month until the 1st of this month, 20,000 people newly joined the Jeonggwanjang Members program over eight days.
This represents a 72% increase compared to last year’s Family Month promotion. As more consumers sought not only Jeonggwanjang’s steady seller Hong Sam Jeong but also products like Cheonnok, Everytime, and Hong Sam Tone, the number of purchases over the eight days rose by 25% compared to the same period last year.
KGC is running the promotion until the 17th and will give Lim Young-woong special goods to customers who purchase Jeonggwanjang products regardless of the amount spent.
Meanwhile, it was announced that singer Lim Young-woong has prepared a special gift for his fans. On the 5th, his agency, Mulgoogi Music, stated, “Lim Young-woong filmed a short movie along with the music video for his new song ‘On-gi.’ We ask for your great anticipation and interest.”
The music video for “On-gi,” the title track of the double single, will be released at 6:16 p.m. on the same day through Lim Young-woong’s official SNS channels. Additionally, the “On-gi” music video will be shown on the large screen at the 2024 concert “IM HERO - THE STADIUM,” held at Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 25th and 26th.
