Midas Asset Management Lowers Active ETF Fees

Competition in the active ETF market is intensifying. Some asset management companies have recently lowered the total expense ratios of their ETFs or launched new products with reduced fee levels.

One of the active ETF managers, Midas Asset Management, announced on the 3rd that it has reduced the total expense ratio of the KoreaStock Active ETF from 0.62% per annum to 0.29%.

The fee reduction is expected to provide investors with the opportunity to invest in active ETFs at a lower cost and help increase investment returns in the long term.

The Midas KoreaStock Active ETF was launched on October 12, 2021, and has been managed for about 2 years and 6 months. Since its inception, its returns have exceeded the benchmark KOSPI index by approximately 13.6%. This ETF seeks excess returns compared to the KOSPI by combining the ‘AI Quant Portfolio’ developed using AI by Midas Asset Management with an ‘Active Portfolio’ enhanced by the investment capabilities of fund managers and analysts.

Midas Asset Management utilizes an AI quant system to automate excess return factors, stock pattern analysis, and more, achieving faster and more efficient investment and management. ETFs managed by Midas Asset Management using its proprietary system are expected to attract more attention in the market going forward.
