Ferrari unveils its latest naturally aspirated 12-cylinder models, the '12Cilindri' and '12Cilindri Spider.'

Ferrari announced on the 3rd that it revealed these models in the Miami area of the United States to commemorate its 70th anniversary of entering the U.S. market.

Inspired by grand tourers from the 1950s and 60s, the 12Cilindri is the latest in Ferrari's V12 lineage. It features a top-performance integrated active aerodynamics system, a front-hinged hood that enhances engine bay visibility, and the iconic twin tailpipes characteristic of Ferrari's 12-cylinder vehicles.

The interior is designed for comfort during long-distance travel. The glass roof includes separate displays for the driver and passenger, and an additional central display is also provided.

The F140HD engine equipped in the 12Cilindri is the latest version of Ferrari's naturally aspirated V12 engine. It produces 830 horsepower, revs up to 9,500 rpm, and delivers 80% of its total torque from as low as 2,500 rpm. The top speed is 340 km/h, and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

A software system has been developed for the first time in a naturally aspirated engine that can adjust maximum torque depending on the selected gear. This allows the driver to experience smooth and progressive acceleration as the gear ratio increases. Additionally, the Intake Torque Shaping (ATS) enables precise electronic control, allowing better torque perception without affecting acceleration. The introduction of new gear ratios maintains higher acceleration levels and enables engineers to create new torque curves for the intake engine.

The 12Cilindri is equipped with an 8-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission), which has already been validated in several models including the SF90 Stradale. It features larger 21-inch tires, shortening the gear ratio by 5% in lower gears compared to previous V12 models. Torque delivered to the wheels has increased by 12%, improving longitudinal acceleration performance and gear shift times.

The 12Cilindri introduces a new HMI composed of three displays. All major functions can be controlled via a centrally located 10.25-inch touchscreen display. The driver's seat features a 15.6-inch display showing all driving and vehicle dynamics information, and the front passenger has an 8.8-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also supported.

An optional high-end audio system developed with Burmester is available. It consists of 15 loudspeakers delivering 1600W output. Ring tweeter technology is applied to minimize sound distortion.

The 12Cilindri is equipped with four-wheel independent steering (4WS), first introduced in the special series 812 Competizione. Each wheel is managed independently to control the vehicle's yaw during cornering and respond swiftly to sudden directional changes. Handling is optimized with an almost ideal weight distribution (front 48.3%, rear 51.7%).

Tires can be fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport S5 or Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport tires. Sizes are 275/35ZR21 for the front and 315/35ZR21 for the rear.

The chassis has been completely redeveloped. Made entirely of aluminum, the wheelbase is 20 mm shorter than that of the 812 Superfast. For the first time in a Ferrari production car, a 100% recyclable secondary alloy is used in the shock towers of the gearbox subframe, reducing CO2 emissions by 146 kg per vehicle produced.

Basic maintenance service is provided for seven years, including for certified pre-owned car buyers. It includes regular inspections (every 20,000 km or once a year without mileage limits), genuine parts, and precision checks. These services are available at all Ferrari dealerships worldwide within the official dealer network.
