Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced that it will hold a "Children's Day Family Culture Event" enjoyed by the whole family over two days on the 3rd and 4th throughout the district in celebration of May, the month of family.
First, on the 4th, the "Yangcheon Early Childhood Festival," which will be attended by about 400 families with preschool children in the area, will be held at Haenuri Town Haenuri Hall and the Eoullim Room area. This event is an expanded integration of small-scale Children's Day programs that were individually held at six local toy libraries and co-parenting rooms until last year, designed so that various programs can be enjoyed in one place without the hassle of moving locations.
The program is divided into Performance Yard, Experience Yard, and Play Yard. The "Performance Yard" consists of a family participation performance encouraging children's joyful physical activities called "Pinkfong and Tunteun Teacher's Dance Party," scheduled from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Haenuri Hall (2nd floor).
The "Experience Yard" takes place in the lobby and corridor on the 2nd floor of Haenuri Town and includes various experience and craft booths that stimulate children's curiosity, such as ▲Making Your Own Comb Mirror ▲Making Dog Bouncing Balls ▲Face Painting ▲Caricature ▲Recreation Events.
At the "Play Yard," held in the Eoullim Room and corridor space on the 3rd floor of Haenuri Town, visitors can enjoy ▲Drawing Zone, where children can spread their imagination through drawing ▲Play Zone, featuring bumper cars, air bounces, and kids riders ▲Block Zone, where children can develop creativity by assembling block toys. Both the "Experience Yard" and "Play Yard" run from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
The "Performance Yard" and "Play Yard" are available to families who are members of the Yangcheon-gu Childcare Support Center and have applied in advance, while the "Experience Yard" is open to any families with young children visiting the site on the day of the event without prior registration. Children participating in the event will receive small snacks and souvenirs. Detailed information about the "Yangcheon Early Childhood Festival" can be found on the Yangcheon-gu Childcare Support Center website.
Additionally, on the same day, the Sinwol Youth Culture Center will open "Let's Play Together Meterland" from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM for local children and adolescents. The event offers a variety of programs including ▲Experience Booths (Family Games, Photo Studio, Woodworking Keyring Making) ▲Large Air Bounce ▲Busking Performances ▲Flea Market ▲Food Zone ▲Retro Zone (Traditional Games, 70s-90s Game Booths) ▲Escape Room.
Local welfare centers will also hold abundant Children's Day commemorative events. On May 3rd afternoon, Sinwol, Hanbit, and Sinjeong Comprehensive Social Welfare Centers will run programs satisfying children's five senses, including ▲Theme Experience ▲Play Booth ▲Photo Zone ▲Food Booth.
Lee Gi-jae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, "We have prepared a lot of fun programs for our children who will open the future of Yangcheon on Children's Day, so I hope families will go on outings together and create happy memories."
