Seoul Northern District Court Holds Seminar in Collaboration with Four Local Law Schools

The Seoul Northern District Court announced on the 2nd that it jointly hosted a linked seminar with the Graduate School of Law (Law School) at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and law schools of local universities including Kyung Hee University, Korea University, University of Seoul, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

The seminar was held at 4 p.m. on the 29th of last month at the Seoul Northern District Court, attended by judges belonging to the Seoul Northern District Court and deans of law schools from each university.


At the seminar, Professor Joon Gahngjun of the Graduate School of Law at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies gave a presentation titled "Does Marriage Really Make a Couple an Economic Community?" Judges Hyukjae Kwon and Dongho Kim conducted designated discussions.


Following this, Judge Sungjun Kim gave a presentation on the topic "Methods of Debtor's Objection to Preservation Orders (Focusing on Reconsideration Requests after Confirmation of Approval Decisions)," and Professors Guwook Kang and Jeongsindong from the Graduate School of Law at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies led the designated discussions.


Additionally, Dean Junghoon Park of Kyung Hee University Law School, Dean Hwang Lee of Korea University Law School, Dean Sangkyung Lee of University of Seoul Law School, Vice Dean Jiwon Park of University of Seoul Law School, Dean Suhyun Ahn of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Law School, and Vice Dean Jihye Shin of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Law School engaged in discussions.


Chief Judge Hyungsun Park of the Seoul Northern District Court stated, "Through academic exchanges between the court and law schools, sharing excellent research outcomes and practical experiences will greatly enhance the capabilities of judges and academia and will also be of great help in improving the judicial system."
