Hoban Group announced on the 2nd that it will hold the '2024 Hoban Innovation Technology Contest,' a large-scale open innovation program involving all its affiliates.
Through the contest, Hoban Group discovers and supports startups with innovative technologies every year. This year, it is co-hosting the event with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, and the Seoul Business Agency (SBA).
The contest recruitment fields are broadly divided into four categories: ▲Smart City (construction robots, construction materials, etc.) ▲Leisure, Accommodation, and Distribution (smart golf courses, resource circulation, etc.) ▲Manufacturing (smart factories, renewable energy) ▲New Business (AgTech, others). Companies wishing to participate can apply online through the official contest website and the Seoul Business Agency's 'Startup Plus' by the 30th.
A total of eight companies will be selected through document evaluation, on-site inspection, due diligence, and presentation evaluation. These companies will receive a total prize and commercialization support fund of 300 million KRW. Hoban Group and the co-hosting organizations will support technology development and commercialization.
A Hoban Group official stated, "One of last year's winning companies, 'Meisa,' and Hoban Construction are making concrete achievements, such as promoting the introduction of a 'Smart Construction Site Data Platform,'" and added, "Going forward, Hoban will continue to strive to be a leading open innovation partner and a reliable partner for innovative companies."
