Gyeonggi Fire Department Produces and Distributes Children's Fire Safety Poster Booklet

Gyeonggi Fire Department Produces and Distributes Children's Fire Safety Poster Booklet A collection of works produced by the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, featuring award-winning children's fire safety posters

The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters has produced a booklet of children's fire safety posters.

The Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 2nd that they recently published a collection of posters selected as outstanding works from the 1st Gyeonggi Children's Fire Safety Poster Contest.

The collection includes 132 outstanding works drawn by general students, children with disabilities, and children from multicultural families, as well as past works.

In particular, this collection features past posters including fire safety posters from the Japanese colonial period, as well as fire art works by Slovenian children that were exhibited as part of the side events at the 2022 World Firefighters Games held in Southern Europe, Slovenia, in July 2022.

The Fire and Disaster Headquarters produced 300 copies of the collection to distribute to the National Fire Agency, 35 fire stations within the province, and foreign fire agencies during visits. Additionally, to make it accessible to everyone, it will be produced as an e-book and registered at the Gyeonggi-do Administrative Library.

Cho Sun-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, said, "Fire safety posters are a universal language and art, a promise to care for and be cautious of each other through pictures." He added, "Since poster works are made of paper, they are prone to loss or damage over time. To preserve them permanently and enhance the artistic value of works themed on firefighting, we have published this collection for the first time."
