To Han Dong-hoon: "You don't have to drink, just pour the alcohol"
Singer Kim Heung-guk, who publicly supported the People Power Party during the general election period and campaigned alongside them, recently revealed that he has received many messages of gratitude.
On the afternoon of the 1st, Kim appeared on YTN Radio's 'Shin Yul's News Face-off' and said, "(I did receive contact from the People Power Party.) They contacted the winners, but they also reached out to those who lost, which made me feel even more heartbroken."
He continued, "I don't want to receive calls from those (who lost) either," adding, "It seemed like the People Power Party got scolded a lot because of me that day, or maybe the party gave an order like 'Call Kim Heung-guk quickly whether it works out or not,' because suddenly I started getting a lot of calls."
Earlier, on the 24th of last month, Kim expressed his disappointment on Channel A Radio's 'Political Signal,' saying, "I risked my life (supporting the campaign), but there was no word like 'Thank you' or 'Let's have a meal together.'" At that time, he said, "There was no contact from the party at all," and added, "I'm not asking for a position. But shouldn't there be some sign of gratitude? That way, more right-wing entertainers might come forward next time."
Regarding who called him, Kim said, "It was people like Jo Jeong-hoon from Mapo, Kwon Young-se from Yongsan, Kim Tae-ho from Yangsan, Joo Ho-young from Daegu, Na Kyung-won from Dongjak, Bae Hyun-jin from Songpa, Park Jeong-hoon, and among the losers, Lee Hye-hoon from Wangsimni, Park Yong-chan from Yeongdeungpo, Lee Yong from Hanam, Park Min-sik and Guseong-chan from Gangseo-gu," adding, "Still, many places I campaigned for were elected."
Kim addressed former People Power Party Emergency Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon, saying, "Even if you don't drink at all, just pouring me a drink beside me is enough," and "It's enough to just be together." He added, "I wonder if your health has recovered now. Many fans are waiting, and there are rumors about you becoming the party leader, but health is more important than that," continuing, "Many fans are waiting for the future of the Republic of Korea, so I think it's good to rest a bit. And I hope we can meet sometime soon."
