Branch No. 2 Opens at Daegu Haengbok Dormitory
Jung-gu, Daegu, signed a business agreement last month on the 30th at the Jung-gu Office, with Ryu Gyu-ha, Mayor of Jung-gu, Kwon Byung-hyun, Director of Daegu Jung-gu Senior Club, Shin Sang-wook, Head of GS Retail Division, and other officials attending, to create jobs for the elderly and realize social value in collaboration with GS Retail and Jung-gu Senior Club.
Under this agreement, GS Retail will support improving the convenience store image and environment for operating the Senior Dream Store, provide franchise fees and lease deposit support, and offer customized one-on-one professional training for convenience store managers. Meanwhile, Jung-gu and Jung-gu Senior Club will cooperate in administrative and financial support for business activation, business promotion, and discovering and promoting customized elderly jobs.

According to the agreement, the first store will open in May at Myeongdeok Station on Subway Line 3, and the second GS25 Senior Dream Store will open at Daegu Happy Dormitory.
At the GS Senior Dream Store convenience stores, it is expected that seniors will gain economic opportunities while working and enhance their digital capabilities, establishing a sustainable leading model for elderly jobs.
Ryu Gyu-ha, Mayor of Jung-gu, said, “The Senior Dream Store is a very exemplary case of fulfilling corporate social responsibility, and I sincerely thank GS Retail for its contribution to the local community. Jung-gu will also take the lead in expanding social participation opportunities so that seniors can spend a happy and hopeful old age.”
Kwon Byung-hyun, Director, said, “As the dedicated agency for elderly jobs in Jung-gu, our Senior Club will do its best to ensure that the GS25 Dream Store is stably established in the local community. We will strive to develop various jobs through connections with the local community.”

GS Retail operates more than 188 social contribution stores, including Senior Stores for creating elderly jobs, Neulbom Stores for employing people with disabilities, and Naeil Stores supporting self-reliance for vulnerable groups, actively leading activities that create jobs and support independence.
