[Activity] Hong Nampyo, Changwon Special City Mayor, Attends Senior Citizens' Grand Festival in Ungnam-dong

Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, attended the ‘Ungnam-dong Hyo Senior Citizens’ Grand Festival’ organized by the Saemaeul Association and Women’s Association of Ungnam-dong.

On the 1st, ahead of Parents' Day, 500 local senior citizens participated in the event held at Yanggok Elementary School gymnasium.

At the event, Mayor Hong and many guests, including local city council members, attended to celebrate the ‘Ungnam-dong Hyo (孝) Senior Citizens’ Grand Festival’ and expressed their gratitude to the elderly.

Kangwon, president of the Saemaeul Association of Ungnam-dong, said, “The event, prepared every year with gratitude for the elderly, has already reached its 35th anniversary,” adding, “We will continue to carry out various activities that promote harmony among residents with a heart that always respects elders and loves neighbors.”

Mayor Hong said, “I hope the Ungnam-dong Hyo (孝) Senior Citizens’ Grand Festival becomes an occasion for harmony between the old and new generations and a precious opportunity to promise the future of Ungnam-dong,” and added, “I will strive even harder for the development of city administration to repay the dedication of our senior citizens.”
