‘Cheongnyeom Square’ Project Promotion... Efforts to Enhance Overall Integrity
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) held the '1st Cheongbaekri Meeting' to establish a foundation for anti-corruption and integrity.
The Cheongbaekri Meeting, held on the 29th in the mayor's office, was attended by a total of 10 people including the mayor, deputy mayor, and executives of grade 4 or higher, discussing ▲2023 integrity evaluation analysis ▲2024 anti-corruption and integrity policy implementation plan ▲improvement measures for corruption-prone areas.
The district plans to regularly monitor the progress of its anti-corruption and integrity policies through the Cheongbaekri Meeting.
Additionally, it will promote the 'Integrity Square' project to improve overall integrity in 2024.
Five strategies have been established: ▲Integrity leadership led by the head of the institution ▲Creation of institutionalized integrity environment ▲Management of corruption risk map ▲Enhancement of integrity sensitivity through communication ▲Expansion of empathetic and cooperative integrity culture, with detailed projects implemented for each strategy to raise overall integrity.
The project name 'Integrity Square' is derived from the arrangement of the five integrity improvement strategies in a square shape.
Detailed projects by sector include the Cheongbaekri Meeting (led by the head of the institution), preventive daily audits (institutionalized environment), Integrity Hotline - reporting of power abuse and corruption (corruption risk management), communication with MZ public officials called 'I see' (enhancement of integrity sensitivity), and Integrity Plogging (expansion of integrity culture).
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, "We will do our best to create a Dongdaemun-gu that is trusted by residents, free of corruption and full of integrity."
