The Buk-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 30th that it will accept resident reports ahead of the 294th 1st Regular Meeting administrative audit scheduled for June.
The subjects of the reports include illegal or improper cases related to work, suggestions or improvements regarding major district policies and projects, cases of improper receipt of subsidies and budget waste, etc. The submission period is one month, from the 1st to the 31st of next month.
However, matters that infringe on personal privacy, personal attacks, simple requests for complaint resolution, issues related to ongoing trials or investigations, and anonymous reports are excluded. The reported content will be used as reference material for the administrative audit.
Reports can be submitted through the Buk-gu Council website, by visit, mail, or fax, and the identity of the reporter will be strictly protected.
Chairman Kim Hyung-su said, “We ask for the residents’ keen interest and reports for a substantial administrative audit,” adding, “We will actively collect the opinions of residents who have reported and do our best to realize an open Buk-gu Council where residents can participate and empathize.”
