KSD Nanum Foundation Donates 33 Million Won to Green Umbrella Child Fund

On the 29th, the Korea Securities Depository (KSD) Sharing Foundation announced on the 30th that it had donated 33 million KRW to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation at the Busan Regional Headquarters of the ChildFund Korea to support cultural and artistic event attendance for children and adolescents from culturally marginalized groups.

Through this project, KSD will provide 800 children and adolescents who are culturally excluded from experiencing arts and culture with opportunities to attend cultural and artistic events such as art exhibitions, musicals, concerts, and local festivals via child welfare organizations in the Busan area, including community child centers, Dream Start, and the Child Welfare Association.


Lee Sun-ho, Chairman of the KSD Sharing Foundation, said, "Through this sponsorship project, we hope that children and adolescents from culturally marginalized groups can directly experience and enjoy arts and culture, growing into healthy members of our society in the future."


In addition to supporting attendance at cultural and artistic events, the KSD Sharing Foundation is conducting various scholarship programs, including selecting scholarship recipients among vulnerable students, providing financial and economic education to students at specialized high schools, and selecting scholarship recipients based on performance. It is also promoting support projects for vulnerable groups, public interest support projects, and financial education projects.
