This training was conducted by inviting Professor Oh Sumi from the Department of Nursing at Changshin University and covered ▲Understanding dementia and dementia prevention ▲Types, causes, symptoms, and progression of dementia ▲Communication and care for dementia patients according to behavioral changes ▲The importance of early detection of dementia ▲Dementia partner education.

Hapcheon-gun plans to proactively manage dementia blind spots by encouraging high-risk individuals to receive early dementia screening in a timely manner through specialized dementia education for life support workers who provide frontline services, and by actively fulfilling their roles as dementia partners.

A health center official stated, “We expect that strengthening the expertise of life support workers, who are human resources in the local community, will help with early detection of dementia through work coordination and mutual cooperation,” and added, “Through this training, we ask them to take the lead in creating a dementia-friendly environment as dementia partners, as well as improving the quality of care services for the elderly.”
