Over 100 Officials and Businesspeople from Both Countries Attend
The National Hanbat University Phase 3 Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Leading University Development Project Group held the 'Korea-China Global Connect Program,' including the opening of a global industry-academia cooperation base office in Weihai, China.
The Korea-China Global Connect Program was established to secure industry-academia cooperation achievements such as exchanges, collaboration, and joint research between Korean and Chinese companies through the global industry-academia cooperation base office, which was created to produce global industry-academia cooperation outcomes and support companies wishing to enter the Chinese market.
On the morning of the 25th, at the global industry-academia cooperation base office opening ceremony and resident company plaque ceremony held at Wisdom Valley in Weihai, China, about 100 attendees including Oh Yong-jun, President of National Hanbat University and Director of the LINC 3.0 Project Group, retired and senior scientists, representatives of National Hanbat University family companies, Wang Junwei, Deputy Director of the Party Organization of Weihai Science and Technology Bureau, Kang Shin, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Bureau, Wang Lihui, Vice President of Wisdom Valley, Chen Lin, Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, and officials and businesspeople from both countries participated.
Following this, a signing ceremony was held with Chinese companies wishing to participate as family companies of National Hanbat University. National Hanbat University signed global family company industry-academia cooperation agreements with Shandong Palseongdang Ginseng Health Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Shandong Zixiang Education and Culture Communication Co., Ltd.
At the subsequent industry-academia cooperation forum, Yu Kyung-yong, Deputy Director of Weihai Economic and Technological Development Zone, presented an introduction to the economic development zone and plans to support advanced talent, and Lee Sun-woo, Senior Advisor of the National Hanbat University LINC 3.0 Project Group, gave a presentation on basic strategies for Korean companies entering the Chinese market.
In the afternoon of the same day, a networking event for retired and senior scientists and a business partnership consultation meeting between Korea-China (Weihai) companies were held.
Oh Yong-jun, President of National Hanbat University, stated, "Based on the base office that will become a leading model for global industry-academia-research cooperation, we will actively promote the development of global industry-academia cooperation and pioneering of the Chinese market," adding, "We will do our best to share academic capabilities and develop innovative ideas for the mutual growth of companies and talent development in both countries."
