A man in his 70s who fatally struck his wife with a blunt object during a marital dispute was arrested by the police.
On the 30th, the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul announced that they arrested Mr. A on suspicion of murder at an apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, around 9 p.m. the previous day.
The police responded to a 112 call reporting "sounds of something being smashed" and apprehended the suspect at the scene in the act. Blunt objects and other evidence were secured at the scene.
A police official stated, "Since this is a serious matter, we plan to apply for an arrest warrant for the suspect soon."
