Olive Young Health Sales Increased by 27% Year-on-Year Last Year

CJ Olive Young will launch its first health-exclusive promotion, ‘Ollyoung Health Dive,’ on the 1st of next month to foster the health category. The plan is to introduce a health promotion comparable to ‘Ollyoung Sale’ and develop the health sector into a flagship category alongside the beauty sector.
According to CJ Olive Young on the 30th, the number of wellness category products, including health product lines, has more than doubled compared to before COVID-19. This is because health management has become recognized as an investment in oneself, expanding the purchasing age group. Last year, Olive Young’s health category sales grew by 27% compared to the previous year. In line with this, Olive Young also introduced a customized wellness curation service called ‘Health+’ last month.
Ollyoung Health Dive is an online and offline promotion offering Olive Young’s trendy health product lines with special benefits. This year, it will be held three times in May, August, and November. Olive Young plans to regularize the Health Dive event this year and develop it into a leading event for K-Health trends.
Under the concept of ‘Slim Beauty & Healthy Smile,’ Ollyoung Health Dive will select and introduce slimming (diet) and oral care products for seven days starting May 1. It features curation of frequently consumed slimming products and daily oral care items tailored to health concern keywords for different situations. Leading slimming brands Vital Beauty and grn+, and oral care brands Dentiste and Usimol will participate.
Various benefits have also been prepared. On the first day of the event, May 1, customers who purchase products online or offline at Olive Young will receive a ‘Health Dive Kit’ on a first-come, first-served basis. The kit includes two trial-sized representative products from slimming and oral care categories, enhancing the benefits. Additionally, from May 1 to 4, the ‘Health Daily Hero’ event will offer extra special discounts on one brand each day, and the ‘Health Weekly Hero’ event will provide discount benefits for seven days. On the mobile application (app), the ‘Health Dive Challenge’ will run concurrently, offering prizes through a lottery among members who answer health-related quizzes correctly.
An Olive Young official stated, “‘Ollyoung Health Dive’ is a flagship event where customers can directly experience the health insights and quality products proposed by Olive Young,” adding, “We plan to continue discovering promising brands and fostering related markets so that K-Health brands can grow in domestic and international markets beyond K-Beauty.”
