Signs of Daegu Saemaeul Geumgo's Poor Loan Practices... Central Association "Conducting Inspection"

The Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association is conducting an inspection after identifying non-performing loans at four Geumgo branches located in Daegu.

According to the Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association on the 30th, these branches have been undergoing inspections by the central association since last month regarding the non-performing loans. It is known that these branches issued loans last year to a construction company related to a housing development project in the Ulsan area, and recently, the principal and interest have not been received.

The central association is conducting inspections after internally identifying signs of problems. It is reported that the loan amount at one branch reaches several billion won. However, the central association explained that the exact amount of the loss has not yet been determined. A central association official added, "Once the inspection is completed, we will consider whether to request a criminal investigation."
