Choi Yeon-hye, President of Korea Gas Corporation, Joins the 'Bye Bye Plastic' Challenge

Korea Gas Corporation (President Choi Yeon-hye) has joined the 'Bye Bye Plastic' challenge to reduce plastic usage.


The 'Bye Bye Plastic Challenge,' promoted by the Ministry of Environment, is conducted by posting a certification photo on social media with a promise to reduce unnecessary plastic use, followed by nominating the next participant.

As a clean energy company, Gas Corporation actively responds to the national carbon neutrality policy, and all employees are actively practicing reducing plastic in daily life to create a clean environment for future generations.


Korea Gas Corporation uses reusable containers in its company cafes and encourages the habitual use of personal cups, with all employees striving to prevent the waste of valuable resources.


President Choi Yeon-hye of Gas Corporation said, "I am pleased to participate in this meaningful campaign that raises awareness about indiscriminate plastic use," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in reducing plastic with our employees and fulfill our social responsibility as an eco-friendly energy public enterprise."


Having been nominated by Lee Seung-woo, President of Korea Southern Power, President Choi Yeon-hye nominated Han Moon-hee, President of Korea Railroad Corporation, and Jeong Yong-gi, President of Korea District Heating Corporation, as the next participants in the challenge.
