Kiturami Installs Ondol in Mongolia... Spreading K-Floor Heating Culture

Signed Business Agreement with Mongolian Hunnuguren Construction
Supply of Eco-friendly 'Carbon Board Ondol'

Gidulami is set to spread the Korean-style floor heating culture in the Mongolian region with its ‘Carbon Board Ondol’.

On the 30th, Gidulami announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mongolia’s Hunnuguren Construction for the supply of Carbon Board. According to the agreement, Gidulami and Hunnuguren Construction will mutually cooperate in product development, production, sales network establishment, and service training to supply the ‘Gidulami Carbon Board Ondol’ in the Mongolian region.

Currently, the residential environment in Mongolia is seeing an increasing population living in apartments and modern houses mainly in the capital Ulaanbaatar, but many people still reside in Gers, the traditional Mongolian dwellings, in the outskirts of urban areas. Due to the prefabricated nature of Gers, boiler heating is not possible, and coal is mainly used as fuel to operate heating devices such as stoves, leading to severe air pollution becoming a serious social issue.

The Gidulami Carbon Board Ondol is an eco-friendly heating material powered by electricity without concerns about air pollution caused by oil and coal. It plans to introduce Korean-style floor heating, which is difficult to experience locally in Mongolia, through far-infrared radiant heat emitted from the patented carbon heating mesh. It is free from harmful electromagnetic waves and equipped with an overheating prevention device that stops excessive temperature rise above a certain level, ensuring safety from fire hazards.

In particular, the installation period is very short, and it can be custom-installed to fit various spaces and interiors, making it a suitable heating method for prefabricated houses like Gers. It can be cut and assembled according to the size of the Ger, and after disassembly, it can be reused or reinstalled elsewhere.

Through the business agreement, Gidulami plans to focus on supplying eco-friendly carbon board floor heating in Mongolia while actively participating in various national projects promoted by the Mongolian government to improve air quality.

A Gidulami Boiler official said, “The eco-friendliness and ease of use of the Gidulami Carbon Board fit the local demand in Mongolia to solve chronic air pollution problems and improve the heating environment for residents of traditional houses, which led to the signing of this business agreement. We will continue to provide heating solutions tailored to the characteristics of each residence to promote the excellence of Korean traditional Ondol heating culture in Mongolia.”
