Doosan Robotics unveiled a collaborative robot frying solution for school group meal services.
Doosan Robotics announced on the 30th that it recently participated in the 'ESG Leading Management School-type Frying Robot Demonstration' at Chuncheon Hansem High School in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. Attendees included Ryu Jeong-hoon, CEO of Doosan Robotics, Shin Kyung-ho, Superintendent of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education, and Jeong Gwang-yeol, Deputy Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, among other officials.
The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education promoted the introduction of a collaborative robot group meal frying solution in schools within the jurisdiction to improve the working environment of school kitchen staff and reduce labor intensity. '977 Robotics,' which donated the solution, is an information system integration (SI) specialized company that played a role in optimizing the collaborative robot frying solution, jointly developed by Doosan Robotics and JD, for the school meal environment.

By using the group meal frying solution, six frying baskets can operate simultaneously, enabling the completion of frying tasks for approximately 500 servings within two hours. The collaborative robot is installed above the frying module, making oil replacement and floor cleaning easy, and its high space efficiency allows for easy application in existing cafeterias.
Ryu Jeong-hoon, CEO of Doosan Robotics, said, "In line with the growing group meal market, we will contribute to improving cooking work environments and enhancing worker safety by developing various cooking-related solutions."
