City Tour in Northwestern Gyeonggi to Operate from May 3

Gyeonggi Province will operate a city tour in the northwestern region of Gyeonggi starting May 3.

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced on the 30th that it will resume the northwestern Gyeonggi city tour "Kkeun," which conveniently covers major tourist attractions in Goyang, Paju, and Gimpo. "Kkeun" is a brand created by combining the consonants ㄱ, ㄱ, and ㅍ from Goyang, Gimpo, and Paju, and it began operation last year.

The resumed northwestern city tour will be operated in two ways: a regular route running every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and a planned route reflecting local government events and tourism trends. The official operation starts on May 3 and ends on November 30.

The regular routes are ▲ Friday "Goyang-Paju Course (Hyundai Motorstudio ~ Ilsan Lake Park & Western Dom ~ Nadeullaon ~ Haengjusanseong Fortress ~ Majang Lake Suspension Bridge)" ▲ Saturday "Paju-Gimpo Course (Odusan Unification Observatory ~ Paju National Folk Museum & Heyri Art Village ~ Paju Publishing Complex Wisdom Forest ~ Gimpo Art Village)" ▲ Sunday "Gimpo-Goyang Course (Aegibong Peace Ecological Park ~ Daemyeong Port Market & Deokpojin Peace Nuri Trail ~ Latin American Culture Center)."

The planned routes target major festivals and events such as the Goyang International Flower Festival and Gimpo Aramarine Festival. These routes operate regardless of the day of the week when 15 or more people gather through advance reservation. Reservations can be made on the dedicated northwestern Gyeonggi city tour website (www.ggpbus.com), and on-site ticketing is available for remaining seats.

Park Yang-deok, Director of the Tourism Industry Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "Last year’s operation period was short at four months, which disappointed many passengers, so this year we expedited the city tour operation to be available throughout all four seasons." He added, "We plan to revitalize local tourism through this special city tour connecting the three local governments in northwestern Gyeonggi."
