Starting Win-Win Cooperation with May Donghaeng Festival
Focusing on Domestic Demand Revitalization through Special Exhibitions and Discount Events
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service are joining forces with 12 platform companies for the ‘2024 Donghaeng Festival’.
On the 30th, the Ministry and the Small Enterprise and Market Service will sign a ‘Win-win Agreement for Strengthening the Digital Capabilities of Small Business Owners and Traditional Markets’ at Dream Square located in Mapo, Seoul.
The 12 platform companies united in the spirit of ‘win-win’ for small business owners and traditional markets are ▲11st ▲Grip Company ▲Lotte Shopping e-Commerce Division ▲Brave Mobile ▲Woowa Brothers ▲Great Imagination ▲Payta Lab ▲Kakao ▲Kakao Style ▲Kmong ▲Gmarket ▲KT.
Through this agreement, the Small Enterprise and Market Service and the 12 platform companies will mutually cooperate to ▲revitalize domestic demand ▲support sales channels ▲strengthen capabilities for small business owners and traditional markets.
First, in May, to revitalize local commercial districts and small business owners, they will support online and offline sales, promotions, and special exhibitions linked to the Donghaeng Festival. Events allowing customers to purchase small business owners’ products at affordable prices will be organized, such as the 100-won Americano event (Payta Lab) and 30% first-come-first-served discount coupons (Grip Company), utilizing their own infrastructure for online product sales support.
To enhance small business owners’ capabilities for online advancement through digital technology education and platform entry, collaboration will be made with five platform companies: 11st, Grip, Woowa Brothers, Kakao, and Kmong. Support will be provided for new store entry education, online seller training, platform utilization education, and specialized marketing according to the small business owners’ industry, business experience, and interests. For those who wish, practical training such as 1:1 operational consulting, branding, and photography skills will also be conducted.
Park Seong-hyo, Director of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, said, “We have joined forces with private platform companies to ensure the successful operation of the May Donghaeng Festival, which involves small business owners and the entire nation,”
