Functioning as a Hub for Promotion, Sales, and Development of Socks Manufacturing in the Region
A sock manufacturing hub has been established in Dobong-gu, which accounts for 40% of the nation's sock production and over 70% of Seoul's.
All eyes in the sock industry are focused on this location, where continuous promotion, sales, and development of Dobong-gu sock products will take place.
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it has created the "Dobong-gu Sock Market" (Dobong Sock Sales Support Center) this month and has begun full-scale operations.
Located on the second floor of the "Hope Platform" in Dobong 2-dong (17 Dobong-ro 156-gil), the "Dobong-gu Sock Market" spans 145.31㎡ and includes a sales exhibition hall, community room, and storage facilities.
The district plans to develop the "Dobong-gu Sock Market" into a communication hub for Dobong's sock manufacturing industry and further cultivate it as a genuine base for the industry by promoting the development of a joint sock manufacturing brand here.
Additionally, in the second half of this year, an online shopping mall will be launched based on the "Dobong-gu Sock Market."
To this end, the district previously signed a business agreement on April 4 with the Dobong Sock Manufacturing Association (President Park Byung-su) for the management and operation of sock product sales at the Dobong Sock Sales Support Center.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, "We plan to implement policies centered around the Dobong-gu Sock Market that will not only provide short- and long-term support measures but also enhance the value and recognition of the industry."
