Strengthening Local Seafood Food Business Owners' Capabilities and Revitalizing the Region
On the 25th, the Yeongdeok Lohas Seafood Food Support Center in Gyeongbuk and the Department of Global Food Business at Daegu Haany University (Department Chair Yang Kyung-mi) signed an agreement to promote the development of the seafood food industry and cooperation in the field of education.
On the 25th, Yeongdeok Lohas Seafood Support Center and Daegu Haany University’s Global Food Business Department signed a business agreement.
The main contents of this agreement include ▲support and education for seafood food companies and local residents in Yeongdeok-gun ▲cooperation in field training education, capstone design, and curriculum development ▲building networks with the local community and promoting industry-academia joint education cooperation projects ▲promotion of job opportunities and operation of a council to improve industry-academia cooperative education.
Park Jin-seok, director of the Lohas Seafood Food Support Center, stated, “Together with Daegu Haany University, we will strive to strengthen the competitiveness of seafood food companies, develop various food products using seafood, revitalize the seafood industry, and utilize them as new tourism items.”
Baek Young-bok, head of the Marine Fisheries Division of Yeongdeok-gun, commented, “This agreement is expected to serve as an opportunity to revitalize the local economy by regularly providing expert-level education to strengthen the capabilities of local seafood food companies and residents, developing high value-added seafood products, and creating new revenue models.”
